چکیده

• We quantify reservoir effects on water balance, daily flow regime and extreme flows. model flows in naturalized baseline operation scenarios with wflow_sbm. Sirikit Bhumibol reservoirs increase low reduce high flow. baseflow contribution flashiness. mitigated many historical incidents. Upper region of the Greater Chao Phraya River (GCPR) basin Thailand. The upper GCPR is highly regulated by multipurpose reservoirs, which obviously have altered natural streamflow. Understanding quantitative such alteration crucial for effective resource management. Therefore, this study aims to assess how affects basin. For purpose, we reconstructed streamflow (no reservoir) using (?1 km resolution) distributed model. To overcome data scarcity, ran global parameterization. A target storage-and-release-based module was applied scenario. results were analyzed comparison observations a wet year, dry period 1989–2014. resulted more evaporation. Altogether, highlighted importance decision making real-time operation, remain challenging practice.

the effects of changing roughness on the flow structure in the bends

flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...

simulation of taleghan reservoir daily inflow using hammerstein-wiener models

hammerstein-wiener (hw) models are capable in describing nonlinear dynamic systems. these models are nonlinear and have been widely used in a wide range of sciences due to their simplicity and having a physically-based concept. in this research, for the first time in hydrology and water resources management, three different structures of these models using daily temperature and precipitation da...

development of reservoir operation policies using integrated optimization-simulation approach

this study is focused on developing an integrated optimization-simulation based genetic algorithm model (iosga) to develop the operational policies for a multi-purpose reservoir system. the objective function of the optimization model is considered to be a linear function of reliability (rel), resiliency (res), and vulnerability (vul) of the river-reservoir system. genetic algorithm (ga) is emp...

Thermal simulation of two-phase flow in under-balanced drilling operation with oil and gas production

The accurate prediction of wellbore temperature distribution helps to accurately estimate well pressure profile and bottom-hole pressure (BHP) which is important in the under-balanced drilling (UBD) operation. In this paper effect of temperature variation due to heat transfer of drilling fluid with the formation and also oil and gas production from the reservoir into the annulus in under-balanc...
